Saturday 25th April. ANZAC Day, 12:00 memorial service at the Gallipoli memorial for wreath laying ceremony and act of remembrance at the NMA Alrewas,

Sunday 26th April. FBESA annual St. George’s day service, form-up 10:30 for 11:00 service at St. Paul’s church, St. Paul’s Square, Birmingham B3 1QZ, tea/coffee etc. after service.

Friday 8th May 2020; VE 75. The city of Birmingham will hold a memorial service to commemorate VE 75 at St Martin’s-in-the Bull Ring on Friday 8th May 2020 at 14:00 hours.Standards to form-up 13:15 to form Guard of Honour at 13:30 for arrival of VIP’s, Civic party, Clergy, after the service the standards to be formed up outside for Guard of Honour by 14:45 to enable the exit of VIP’s, Civic party, Clergy, veterans, and rest of congregation to enable 2.55pm – The Last Post is played and 3pm – The Piping of Battle’s O’er and VE Day 75 as in co-ordination with the nation, There will be prosecco or a non-alcoholic alternative to make a ‘toast to victory’ immediately after, then the bells will be ringing and the street entertainment commences, Cancelled.

Sunday 10th May; VE 75.The Federation of Birmingham Ex-Service Associations will celebrate VE 75 with film, music and afternoon tea on Sunday 10th May 2020. Cancelled.

Saturday 6th June. 1944 Alliance Normandy-Market Garden annual act of remembrance at the Normandy campaign memorial, NMA Alrewas to commemorate the “D” day landings Normandy 1944, form-up 11:45 for 12:00 service, Cancelled.

Monday 22nd June. Armed Forces Day, Flag Raising Ceremony to launch Armed Forces week, in Victoria Square, Birmingham, Limited attendance

Saturday 27th June & Sunday 28th June 2020, ARMED FORCES W/E.Show your support for our country’s Armed Forces during Armed Forces Weekend at the National Memorial Arboretum on Saturday 27th June & Sunday 28th June 2020, 9am.-5pm. Cancelled.

Sunday 28th June. National Service Veterans Association annual service and act of remembrance at their NSVA memorial for men conscripted into the armed forces to do their National service 1939-1960, standard bearers form-up 11:30 for 12:00 service at the NMA Alrewas, veterans to be seated by 11:50 Cancelled.

Monday 29th June. 13th annual Veteran’s day at Swanshurst school, Brook Lane, Birmingham, B13 0TW,  10:00-14:45, report 09:15 to register then opening ceremony, veterans invited to talk to pupils about their military experience, including a thank you lunch, then closing ceremony with act of remembrance, everyone welcome, Cancelled.

Saturday 4th July. Royal Artillery day, annual service, form-up 11:30hrs. for 12:00 hrs. service, after the service wreath laying and act of remembrance in the RA memorial garden at the NMA Alrewas Cancelled

Sunday 5th July. Somme Sunday, with the Royal Warwickshire Regiment Association annual service and parade with act of remembrance, form-up 11:30hrs. for 12:00hrs. service at Aston parish church, Witton Lane, Birmingham, B6 6QA, Limited attendance

Saturday 11th July. 13th annual service of remembrance is to be held in the Remembrance Garden, at Oldbury Royal British Legion, Windsor Road, Oldbury B68 8NY Limited attendance

Friday 14th August VJ Day. VJ 75. 75th anniversary Victory over Japan, (VJ Day 15-08-1945) Service at the cenotaph, St. Peter’s Square, Wolverhampton, WV1 1DA Limited attendance

Saturday VJ 75. Parade to form-up 10:50 for 10:58 service at the Burma Star memorial, Bromsgrove, all standards apart from Burma Star will be in situ at the memorial. Burma Star standard to March onto memorial. Service to include act of remembrance and wreath laying ceremony, at the end the standards will be left standing at the memorial when Sunset will be played. parade will be livestreamed; social distancing to be observed.

Sunday 16th August. The FBESA will hold their annual service of remembrance and commemorate 75th anniversary for VJ day (VJ Day 15-08-1945) on Sunday 16th August 2020, form-up 10:30 for 11:00 service at the Hallmark Strathallan hotel, Hagley Road, Birmingham, B16 9RY, service to be conducted by FBESA Chaplain Jill Williams, followed by afternoon tea party 1940s style with 1940s music and entertainment, Cancelled.

Thursday 3rd September. Raising the flag; the Merchant Navy Association, Birmingham branch will raise the MN flag to mark Merchant Navy day at the Council house, Victoria Square, Birmingham, B1 1BB, edited version due to Limited attendance.

Thursday 17th September. the 1944 Alliance Normandy-Market Garden will hold their annual act of remembrance and wreath laying ceremony on this the 76th anniversary of operation “Market Garden” at the MGVA memorial, form-up 13:55 for 14:15 service at the NMA Alrewas, edited version due to Limited attendance. Saturday 10th October. Birmingham Air Raids Remembrance Association (BARRA) annual service of remembrance to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the unveiling of our  memorial,  form-up 10:30 for 11:00 service at St. Martins church in the Bull Ring, Edgbaston Street, Birmingham, B5 5BB after the church service form-up at the “Tree of Life” memorial for wreath laying ceremony, Cancelled.
